Description

Description of Work Name: Pinney Street Deck Electrical Improvements Aurora, IL Scope of Services: Removal and replacement (including rewiring and undergrounding) of existing electrical infrastructure around and under an approximately 2600 SF wooden deck mounted to the restaurant buildings along the south side of Pinney Street. The City reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all proposals as provided in Standard Provisions for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the "Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions". Any bidder who owes the City money may be disqualified at the City's discretion. The City encourages minority business firms to submit proposals and encourages the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. Submission of a bid shall be conclusive assurance and warranty the bidder has examined the plans and understands all requirements for the performance of work. The bidder will be responsible for all errors in the proposal resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in-depth examination. The City will, in no case be responsible for any costs, expenses, losses or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect of the bidder. The City of Aurora has a local preference ordinance that would apply to this contract. Any questions regarding this bid opportunity shall be submitted to the Director of Purchasing via email at purchasingDL@aurora.il.us by no later than 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 9, 2022. Any questions received after this date will not be addressed via Addendum and will not be reflected in the project scope.
