Description | As of November 3, 2022, this project is still on hold. The owner intends to rebid this project at a later date that has not yet been established. Paving Parking Lots 28 and Short Term 5; includes alternates for storm water retention and sidewalks. West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for the milling and repaving of two parking lots on the Downtown Campus. Short-Term Lot 5 (ST5) is located on the corner of University Avenue and 1st Street, across from Mountaineer Place Apartments, consisting of approximately 81 spaces measuring roughly 20,000 SF. Lot 28 is located on North High Street and intersecting with Maiden Lane (where Maiden Lane meets North High Street), measures roughly 10,000 SF. Alternates include Storm Water Management and Sidewalk Repairs/Replacements. Parking - Contractor will have parking available but will need to purchase passes for each vehicle from WVU Transportation and Parking Office. Dumpsters and Staging Locations will be discussed during the Pre-Bid or Site Walk-Through. Cutoff for Questions: Date: June 24, 2022 Time: 12:00 pm EST Final Completion: Sixty (60) days after issuance of Contract and PO. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages will be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion. Project has been cancelled |
