Description

The project involves the installation of approximately 1,800 linear feet (LF) of 24-inch diameter wastewater force main. The proposed force main will improve system redundancy and enable the City to convey additional flow from new development. This project includes two (2) trenchless crossings of the northbound and southbound lane of Interstate 75 (I-75). The two trenchless crossings are approximately 220 feet long each. A steel casing installed by microtunnel boring machine (MTBM) is specified for this project. A range of steel casing diameters, minimum of 42 inches and a maximum of 60 inches, have been permitted by the Florida Department of Transportation for these crossings. Casing and MTBM size to be selected by the contractor.
