Description | Marion County Office of the County Engineer is seeking qualified contractors to retrofit the bottoms of two (2) drainage retention areas (DRAs) with Bold & Gold soil amendment. Bid Bond 5% Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Marion County believes that hiring done through this contract should, to the maximum extent, be offered to citizens within its boundaries that are unemployed or seeking work for the first time. To that extent, the firm awarded business under this contract will be contacted by the Workforce Connection, our regional workforce development board, to discuss hiring through its staff and services. Your participation with Workforce Connection is not required as a condition of award, but rather an opportunity for greater support for the community and your firm in hiring assistance. For questions relating to this bid, contact: Tika Black | tika.black@marionfl.org Question Deadline 03/30/2023 at 12:00 PM ET This project consists of earthwork reshaping, installation of infrastructure improvements and placing Bold & Gold CTS Filtration Media in the bottom of DRAs 7322 and 7403 per the attached plans and specifications. Marion County (Grantee) will construct stormwater retrofits for two drainage retainage areas (DRAs) located in Silver Springs Shores Units 29 & 30 within the PFA of the Silver Springs BMAP. The stormwater retrofits will include the installation of Bold & Gold biosorption activated media that will promote denitrification and result in nutrient removal from the infiltrated stormwater runoff. The Project will also include improvements to the associated stormwater conveyance systems to ensure stormwater runoff is captured in the DRAs as designed. The DEP Grant Funds associated with this Agreement were awarded based on local contributions pledged towards the total project costs: $795,472.06 from Marion County. A summary of the local contributions will be required in the Final Quarterly Progress Report, and financial supporting documentation shall be provided upon request. |
