2021-2023 North East Gas Main Replacement

This project involves the replacement/upgrade of a bare steel low pressure gas system with a plastic medium pressure system including gas mains, service lines, and residential meter setting relocations to the outside of each house. The Project will extend from year 2021 to through year 2023 with the amount of Work to be performed each specified by the City. Approximately, 25,352-feet of 2-inch HDPE gas main and 1,688-feet of 4-inch HDPE gas main will be installed by directional drilling methods. A pre-construction and a post-construction CCTV video is required in areas where directional drill bore path will cross or parallel sewer mains or laterals, about 39,308-feet of each. Also, a pre-construction site video is required. Contractor shall provide a copy of preconstruction and post-construction CCTV videos and job site video to the City. 632 residential service lines will be replaced with 1-in CTS MDPE pipe. Any meter settings that are currently inside will be relocated to the outside. A pressure test using a water monometer or device of equal sensitivity is required to be performed on all existing house piping by contractor prior to connecting said piping to the newly installed meter set. This pressure test will be performed under the supervision of qualified City personnel, and in accordance with City policies and procedures, as well as federal, state and local regulations.
