Site Preparation for Tree Planting

Contract with an individual or entity to power disc trench and chemically prepare planting sites for red pine seedlings in northwestern Lincoln County. Power disc trenching and chemical treatment shall occur during the time period beginning June 15, 2022 and ending August 15, 2022. The project is to power disc trench and chemically treat several sites totaling approximately 63 acres to reduce vegetative competition and prepare the site for planting red pine seedlings the following season. The sites are located in northwestern Lincoln County (see the attached maps). Soils in this area are loamy sand with some rocky locations. Terrain is mostly level with some rolling hills and short, steep slopes. These sites were previously forested and contain stumps, many of which are large in diameter.
