Description

Distribution Electric, Medium Voltage Utility Line Construction. Qualifications: Qualified contractor(s) shall: have a contractor's license to perform this type of work issued by the State of Alabama, have experience with the USDA's, Rural Utility Services (RUS) electrical specifications/construction, have experience working on Alabama Department of Transportation projects, have references of each of the afore mentioned experiences. Qualified contractor(s) must be able to supply proof of public liability insurance with minimum limits of $1 million for coverages that will be specified in the contract. Qualified contractor(s) must be able to supply proof of public liability insurance with minimum limits of $1 million for coverages that will be specified in the contract. Qualified contractor(s) will have to supply all labor and materials for the project and be required to provide a performance bond that is equal to the value of the contract. Both the insurance and bond are to remain valid for the duration of the contract. Qualified contractor(s) must have sufficient experienced manpower and proper equipment in order to complete the project by the completion date. Liquidated damage could be charged to the selected contractor should the contractor fail to complete the project on time. Project Scope: The relocation of the electrical facilities in conflict with an Alabama Department of Transportation project BR-0075(536), located in Geraldine, AL. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
