Galaxy Middle - Replace Intercom

The Scope of work includes the demolition and replacement of the existing backbone intercom system. Provide new head end rack mounted intercom Gateways and Intercom Terminal Cabinets, Call in stations throughout. Administration phones and speakers to be added as needed. Provide multi mode fiber optic cabling to feed the new Intercom Gateways. Provide all cabling as necessary for Intercom replacement. Provide replacement exterior loudspeaker horns at building exterior. Refer to existing as-built plans that are included with the drawing set for Intercom Demolition. Raceway system for intercom will consist of wire mold where exposed to public view conduit where necessary for chasing above hard ceilings and areas that are not readily accessible j hooks maybe used above acoustical ceilings. Existing Dukane Clock and Intercom systems back boxes can remain and be reused for Intercom speakers and call in stations. Provide metal cover plates for back box openings and paint. Any existing intercom raceways in good condition and properly supported maybe reused. Provide power to the new intercom gateways and additional grounding of the system. The existing raceways being reused shall be color coded and identified in accordance with the specification. Existing raceways being reused shall be brought in compliance with the NEC. Additional supports shall be added when missing to provide compliance with NEC. Existing boxes being reused shall have covers with identification meeting the requirements of the specifications. The existing die cast fittings in existing conduits runs do not need to be upgraded to steel fittings. Seal all penetrations of interior and exterior walls. Treat all penetrations as rated wall penetrations.
