Description

The project work will involve the underground rehabilitation of existing ground support and the addition of new ground support measures within the Big 5 Tunnel on the Captain Jack Mill site. Work will include the removal and replacement of loose cribbing and lagging between steel sets, the replacement of the mine entrance doors, installation of resin anchored rock bolts, mine straps and welded wire mesh. Barrier fencing will also be constructed in two locations to prevent access to closed portions of the Big 5 Tunnel.
