Description | Reference Number 0000315986 The City of Central is seeking proposals for the Gold Mountain and Virginia Canyon/Spring Street Pedestrian Connection (the “Project”). The Project, connecting Gold Mountain Village Apartments at 440 Powder Run Drive to Virginia Canyon Road and Spring Street, is one of three priority projects outlined in the Central City Trails Master Plan. The trail connection will generally follow an existing water pipeline corridor from the apartments to Virginia Canyon & Spring Street, along a city water easement. It will be approximately 0.2 miles long and will allow for pedestrian uses. Given the steep grade, a majority of the trail will comprise a timber stairway with nine (9) specific design elements, related to the memorial nature of the trail. To connect to Spring Street, there will be one road crossing at Virginia Canyon Road with a crosswalk and signage. The Project will include construction services.
