Description

The District of Columbia Office of Contracting and Procurement ("OCP"), on behalf of the District Department of Transportation ("DDOT" or "Department"), is seeking a contractor to upgrade and provide for the maintenance of its Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) (the "Project") in accordance with the Contract Documents, as defined herein. DBE GOAL: 6% The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) uses various technologies to monitor and manage all roadways and inform the public about events and incidents that impact public travel within the District of Columbia. These Systems are generally referred to as the Intelligent Transportation Systems ("Systems" or "ITS"). DDOT's ITS maintenance team is tasked with maintaining the ITS and ensuring that they are operational 24 hours a day. DDOT also uses the ITS to contribute to regional situational awareness to various regional partners including federal, state, and private stakeholders. The ITS provide real time data and situational awareness to DDOT's 24-hour traffic management center. For context, these Systems historically include, but are not limited to, the following: CCTV cameras for live traffic situational awareness: DDOT owns over 300 DDOT cameras on urban streets, freeways, and various tunnels. CCTV cameras maintenance includes both camera hardware, and supporting network equipment. The term of the Contract shall be for a base period of one year from the date of award specified on the cover page of this Contract.
