Description

Cleaning, vacuuming, video recording and mapping from inlet to outfall, the Town’s storm water pipe network, as well as acquisition and installation of Wastop valves. The Contractor(s) shall be required to supply the Town with a written report on each pipe being serviced. This report shall include any defects, damage or failures noted within a pipe, inlet box, box culvert, or outfall. Along with the report, the Town requires the development and submission of a map of its stormwater pipe system using GPS or similar technology such that the exact locations of the pipes will be known to the Town. Where a defect, damage or failure is found during video recording, the exact location of same shall be noted on the map so as to allow the Town to determine if and how it will repair or replace that pipe. This work shall take place in a variety of pipe sizes, inlet boxes, and box culverts. It should be anticipated that the majority of the work to clean/flush/video pipes will be in short job increments of approximately 30 feet, 50 feet, or 100 feet in length, although there will be pipes with substantially greater lengths.
