Description | SCOPE OF WORK. Generally, the work under this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for reconstructing approximately 13,400 square yards of asphalt street surface, including the installation of approximately 2,850 tons of hot-mix asphalt at Four (4) locations in the City of Durango All work shall be done under the supervision and inspection of the Street Manager or his assigned agent. Any deviation from the standard specifications shall be approved, in writing, in advance. Any deviation from the standard specifications without prior authorization shall result in the immediate suspension of work, and possible termination of contract. The scheduled work period is tentatively (weather permitting) set for June 1st -October 29th, 2021 unless otherwise agreed upon by both the City of Durango, and the Successful Contractor. Project sites and specifications for each area: SR-1 Columbine Drive: This project involves reconstructing and tying in side streets to Columbine Drive as follows: 80’ on Butte Drive,182’ Needham Circle on the West side of Columbine Drive, 77’ Needham Circle on the East side of Columbine Drive, 55’ Cottonwood Drive. Work includes Pulverizing existing asphalt and base material to a depth of 6”. Set aside and reuse 2,000 tons of suitable reclaimed asphalt and class 6 material. Remove and dispose of excess material to a grade 10” below finish grade needed to establish a 2%-5% cross slope from the crown of the street to the gutter line. Re-grade and compact 6” of recycled material and class 6 base course material, in two 3” lifts, to establish a consistent cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with 2ea. (Two) – 2” lifts hot mix asphalt mat. Project area is approximately 9,200 SY – 1,850 Tons of asphalt; SR-2 Sage Hill Court: Pulverize existing asphalt and base material to a depth of 8”. Re-grade and compact base material to establish a consistent cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with 2ea. (Two) – 2” lifts hot mix asphalt mat. Project area is approximately 2,250 SY – 550 Tons of asphalt; SR-3 Kennebec Court: Pulverize existing asphalt and base material to a depth of 8”. Re-grade and compact base material to establish a consistent cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with 2ea. (Two) – 2” lifts hot mix asphalt mat. Project area is approximately 1,050 SY – 250 Tons of asphalt; SR-4 East 7th Avenue at 32nd Street: Pulverize existing asphalt and base material to a depth of 8”. Re-grade and compact base material to establish a consistent cross slope from the centerline of the road to the curb flow line. Repave with 2ea. (Two) – 2” lifts hot mix asphalt mat. Project area is approximately 900 SY – 200 Tons of asphalt. |
