Description | The work includes the furnishing of all labor, and the material and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in these Specifications. The estimated item quantities are summarized as follows: APPROXIMATE ESTIMATED ITEM QUANTITY BASE BID Demolition and removal of existing timber salt dome structure; and Furnish and Construction of a 61'- Foot Diameter Geodesic Domed Salt Shed complete on the existing concrete foundation wall. Lump Sum ALTERNATE Furnish and install rolling steel garage door with motor complete. Additional Doc Acq Note: Specifications and forms of bid for the proposed work prepared by James S. Lutz, Township Engineer and approved by the Township of Jefferson have been filed in the office of said PURCHASING DEPARTMENT, at 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during the regular business hours. Bidder may provide their FedEx account number if FedEx is preferred. Bids must be made on the standard Proposal form in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Township of Jefferson, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of the Township of Jefferson for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent on the enclosed Bid Bond and Consent of Surety Forms from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract. The signed Proposal forms and bid security must be delivered to the place on or before the hour named above. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or forfeit his bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned within three days after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's Performance Bond, Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays excepted. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and P.C. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), Affirmative Action Regulations and P.C. 1977, Chapter 33 Stockholders Disclosure Regulations. The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders who, in the judgment of the Township of Jefferson makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law. |
