Description | his Project consists of twelve phases of work, each with similar work elements but with differing restrictions as required to maintain airfield safety and to minimize impacts to airfield and tenant operations. Work to be addressed will include the rehabilitation of the 121 and 135 apron surfaces, drainage and storm drain improvements, installation of new high mast ramp lighting, and the construction of a new Remain Overnight (RON) ramp. Work will also include the rehabilitation of adjacent intersections including Taxiway C (northern intersection), Taxiway C-1, and associated portions of Taxilane H. The project includes one base bid and one bid additive. The anticipated scope of work foreach is listed below. Base Bid (RON, Part 121, and Part 135 Areas) - Removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavement - Excavation of existing recycled asphalt pavement (RAP), crushed aggregate base course, and subbase course material in new Remain Overnight (RON) area - Removal and replacement of storm drain pipe and structures - Relining of existing storm drain pipe - Installation of new apron high-mast ramp lighting system - Removal and replacement of existing concrete hardstand panels at gates 2 and 3 - Application of new pavement markings - Construction of new hardstand area and asphalt pavement in new Remain Overnight (RON) area - Slurry of existing storm drain pipe - Partial demolition and capping of existing tie-down anchors in the Part 135 area - Installation of new tie-down anchors in the Part 135 area - Resealing joints in existing concrete hard stands - Coordination with other contractors working concurrently on the Part 121 ramp Question Deadline 07/12/2023 at 4:30 PM AKT Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% percent of the Bid, payable to the City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. A Bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with it. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE. All contractors are required to have a current Alaska Contractor's License, prior to submitting a Bid, and a current Alaska Business License prior to award. Since this Project has federal funding, however, the Contractor and all Subcontractors will be required to have a current Alaska Contractor's License and a current Alaska Business License prior to Notice of Intent to Award The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in a Bid, The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal for this project is 7.41% |
