Description | Work of the Jefferson Satellite Maintenance Facility is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to the installation, maintenance and removal of sediment control measures, removal of the existing stockpile/spoils pile(s) that have encroached on and are contained within the existing septic area, unclassified earthwork, demolition and disposal of existing on-site construction trailer, construction of a three-sided, four-bay equipment shed, including an enclosed manual wash bay and attached wash bay equipment/mechanical room, underground propane tank installation and initial fill-up, brine tank pad construction, disposal of one 5,500 gallon single-wall "yellow" brine tank, relocation of existing 3,000 gallon brine tank after completion of the new brine tank pad, and off-loading and placement of three County-purchased brine tanks (anticipated tank size of 12,500 gallon) onto the new brine tank pad, dumpster pad and enclosure construction, generator pad construction and placement of the existing generator and ATS onto the new generator pad, connection of all generator equipment into the new electrical systems, and coordination with the County as needed to recommission the generator equipment, stormwater management facilities expansion and retrofit, site utility modifications and upgrades, motorized entrance gate installation, and miscellaneous paving and landscaping items. In case of failure on the part of the Contractor to complete the Work within the time fixed in the Contract or any extensions thereof, the Contractor shall pay the Owners, as fixed and agreed upon liquidated damages, the sum of $1,000 (One Thousand) per calendar day to Frederick County for each calendar day in excess of the Contract Time stated above or as otherwise modified and agreed to by the Owner and Contractor. |
