Nesmith Library Solar Photovoltaic System (PV) Installation

The Library has consumed approximately 117,000KWH with a peak demand of 44 KW for 2017 and 2018. During 2019 approximately 109,000 KWH with a peak demand of 41 KW were used. The reduction in costs was due to the replacement and upgrade of the lighting system for the Town. This data is summarized in Appendix B. Data for 2020 shows usage reductions for the early part of the year, however, data from April on is probably not reliable due to Library closures due to the Corona Virus. The Town will provide access to power company data. The Town is interested in the most cost-effective installation available with the most up-to-date photovoltaic (PV) technology. The Proposal shall include Buyout cost, costs for self-generated and grid-purchased electricity, grid connection costs, maintenance and warranty/insurance costs. Although it is not required at this time, the proposed design should allow for cost effective installation of a battery backup system in the future.
