Hillsboro High Head Pump Station and Control Gate Modifications

Rehabilitate the High Head Pump Station including: 1. Demolition of the existing Raw Sewage/Reclaimed Water (RS/RWR), Irrigation, Plant Water, and Sump pumping systems. 2. Construct a new wet well within the existing structure. 3. Install new High Head Transfer, Plant Water, and Sump pumping systems. 4. Complete Effluent Pumping mechanical piping improvements. 5. Complete electrical and instrumentation work associated with the improvements. The Work is a public works project subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. Bidders must be qualified in accordance with the applicable parts of ORS 279C in order to submit a Bid for public work in Oregon. Substantial Completion 550 calendar days Final Completion 595 calendar days RVT File- 10326936-00-S.rvt general: 1. In general, work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, excavation for structures and retaining walls, removal of underground obstructions and undesirable material, backfilling, filling, and fill, backfill, and subgrade compaction. 2. Obtain fill and backfill material necessary to produce grades required. a. Materials and source to be approved by Engineer. b. Excavated material approved by Engineer may also be used for fill and backfill. Removal of obstructions and undesirable materials in excavation includes, but is not necessarily limited to, removal of old foundations, existing construction, unsuitable subgrade soils, expansive type soils, and any other materials which may be concealed beneath present grade, as required to execute work indicated on Contract Drawings. a. If undesirable material and obstructions are encountered during excavation, remove material and replace as directed by Engineer. b. Remove unsuitable subgrade soils located below foundations. The bottom of the overexcavation shall be located outside the exterior limits of foundations around the perimeter of structure the following horizontal distance: 1) Distance equal to depth of overexcavation below bottom of foundations. c. When excavation has reached required subgrade elevations, notify Engineer, who will make an inspection of conditions
