Project No. 528A7-18-715 - Removal of the existing DAV entrance canopy and structural components, including the roof, walls and entrance doors. Demolition is to include, but is not limited to, the removal of all components of the existing structure and substructure scheduled for removal per the contract documents, existing flooring, walls, doors and hardware, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and all components of the ceiling system. The replacement structure will include, but is not limited to, new structural components consisting of concrete and steel, new canopy and roofing assembly, new interior and exterior finishes (new paint, flooring, ceiling, metal paneling) as well as new fire suppression, electrical and lighting components. In addition, all new piping, insulation, controls and all associated auxiliary components for heating the new entrance will be included. The new entrance will also include a revolving door and handicap bypass door with air lock and storefront glazing with automatic shades that will be tied into the Building Management System operated by the Syracuse VA Engineering Controls Center. Removal and replacement of storefront glazing within the existing building on the east end of Corridor 102 will also be included. Storefront window replacements in Corridor 102 will include automatic shades that will be tied into the Building Management System operated by the Syracuse VA Engineering Controls Center. Exterior improvements will include bollard and sidewalk replacements as well as radiant in slab heat and electric in slab radiant heat.
