Description

The Scope of work consist of furnishing of all materials, equipment and labor necessary for pulling Well No. 9 for maintenance and reinstallation of the pumping equipment; and other incidental work Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, bank cashier's check or bid bond acceptable to the Owner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, payable without condition to the Owner as a guaranty that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly execute the Agreement in accordance with the Specifications and the other Contract Document, and will furnish good and sufficient bond for the faithful performance of the work. As required by the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, the general prevailing rate of wages in the locality for each craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to execute the contract or perform such work, also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work, as ascertained by the Village of Rantoul, shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract or to perform such work. This contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder considering conformity with the terms and conditions established by the Village of Rantoul in the specifications and contract documents. The Village reserves the right to determine responsibility at the time of award, to reject any or all bids, to re-advertise the proposed improvement, and to waive technicalities. All items of work shall be completed on or before October 31, 2022
