Description

The Illinois Well Facility project consists of Schedules A, B, C, and D. Schedule A includes the construction of a new wellhouse and outfitting of the recently constructed Illinois Well. The proposed Schedule A generally includes the installation of a vertical turbine well pump with variable frequency drive (VFD) and motor and associated discharge piping; a chlorine gas water treatment system; a fluoridation water treatment system; electrical and control systems including motor control center and control panel; and a permanent electric generator for backup power supply. The wellhouse building will be constructed of concrete masonry unit (CMU) block with steel trussing, and parapet style roof with metal cladding and membrane roofing system, complete with HVAC, plumbing, and other ancillary systems. The site work for Schedule A will generally include site grading and development to prepare subgrade and raise the finish grade of the project site, including construction of an infiltration pond for process water; construction of water, sewer, and storm piping and facilities and coordination to connect water and sewer piping off-site; fencing and automatic and manual gates; site finish grading, surfacing, and landscaping, including hydroseeding. Power supply and automatic control improvements will also be included in this project. Schedule B includes the construction of approximately 2,050 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron water main including service installation, tie-in to existing water mains and services, abandonment of existing water mains, and surface restoration. Schedule C includes the construction of approximately 600 linear feet of 4-inch HDPE natural gas distribution main including tie-in to existing gas main and surface restoration. Schedule D includes the installation of approximately 50 linear feet of PVC signal conduits with surface restoration.
