Description

This bid package concerns work associated with the contract for the installation of a temporary access road, removal of surficial ACM, removal of surficial (non-ACM) waste, removal of targeted areas of subsurface waste, addition of imported fill (if needed), final grading, and site restoration. General Services: A. The Contractor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary for the following tasks: a. Site preparation; b. Signage/fencing; c. Temporary road installation, including wetland matting; d. Erosion and sediment control measures; e. Temporary relocation of site fencing; f. Removal of surficial ACM; g. Removal of non-ACM surficial waste; h. Removal of targeted areas of subsurface waste; i. Import fill; j. Final site (topographic) survey; k. Backfill and grading of Site to an approved grade; and l. Restoration of the work area, including all areas disturbed in the completion of the work B. The Contractor will secure all permits, licenses and/or other authorizations required incidental to the scope of work described in this bid specification document, except for the permits/exemptions outlined previously as the Engineer’s responsibility. C. The Contractor will provide documents (manifests, weight tickets, etc.) certifying that ACM and non-ACM wastes have been disposed of legally, as required by federal, state, and local governments. D. The Contractor will provide documents, such as weight tickets and truck load counts, for backfill material imported to the Site. E. The Contractor will be solely responsible for identifying buried power and utility lines, sewers, piping, etc., which may be affected by the Contractor’s performance and/or liability associated with this work.
