Description

The Town of Thomaston proposes to make renovations and site improvements to Seth Thomas Park located at the intersections of South Main Street (State Route 6), Elm Street and Maple Street in Thomaston, Connecticut. The work includes the construction of a four-car bituminous parking lot, concrete sidewalk and curbing, and stone dust walking paths. Utility work includes modifications to the electric service and new connections to water and sewer. Site furnishings include site lighting, water fountains and a game table. New landscaping with an irrigation system will also be provided. All bidder questions are due by Friday, January 26, 2024. A list of attendees and responses to all bidder questions will be compiled and issued as Addendum #1 on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024. Bid deposit in the form of a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the maximum total amount of the Bid and made payable to the Town of Thomaston, Connecticut. Performance and Payment Bonds, in the full amount of the Contract price, will be required of the Successful Bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of the opening of Bids. Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids, or to accept any Bid which in their opinion, is in the public interest to do so.
