Description

Maintenance Dredge - 2022 Belle Fontaine Bayou - Dredging Belle Fontaine Bayou: o Alignment A - Station 0+00 to 24+00 with a channel width of 40 feet wide at a depth of -5.0 feet mean low water with 3:1 side slopes. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, supervision, bonds, insurances, materials, plant, tools and equipment, for performing all operations necessary in conjunction with the mechanical dredging of Belle Fontaine Bayou. All work shall be completed in strict accordance with the plans & specifications, all federal, state & local regulations and permitted conditions. All sediment shall be disposed of at the Harrison County Development Commissions Dredged Material Spoil Disposal Area C and / or C-1. Contractor shall adhere to all provisions of Section 2 of these Technical Specifications All Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or a satisfactory Bid bond executed by Bidder and an acceptable surety, must be submitted in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of total bid. Electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. All Bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 by a prime or subcontractor to do any work, must comply with Section 31-3-21, Mississippi Code of 1972, by having a current Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Public Contractors. Bidder's certificate of responsibility number or a statement that the bid inside is less than $50,000.00 shall appear on the outside or exterior of the envelope or container of such bids, failing which, said bid shall not be opened or considered. The current Certificate of Responsibility Number shall be indicated on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope in order to be opened. All Bids submitted for $50,000 or less shall be so marked on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope. The Jackson County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and to award said bid in the best interest of the County. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. Completion- 90 calendar days
