Description

Work of the contract includes: 1. Base Bid - Blower Replacement: a. Purchase and install one (1) new gearless Turbo blower and accessories per specification Section 11365 b. To connect the blower to the existing discharge header piping, include up to 8 feet of steel piping in 8" and 10" diameter, and one (1) 10"x8" reducer needed to connect the 8" blower to the receiving header pipe. Provide coatings on all new piping and all new valves and fittings. c. Install one (1) dissolved oxygen (DO) probe, mount, and cable, sunshield, DO controller, controller mount. d. The work includes electrical installation, including electrical conduit, wiring, breakers, starters, panels, disconnects, complete in place, for a fully functioning blower assembly. e. Remove remnants of the existing blower that have not already been removed by the City. f. Provide Payment and Performance bonds for the work Submit questions about bidding documents to the Engineer. Inquiries are permitted until three (3) days prior to bid opening. Necessary replies will be issued to bidders of record as addenda, which become a part of the bidding documents. Oral instructions do not form a part of the bidding documents. Bidders should contact the Engineer not less than 48 hours before bid opening to secure any addenda that may affect bidding
