Storm Related Right-Of-Way Repairs

Repairs of various assets on or near right-of-way as a result of the tornadoes that occurred on December 11, 2021. The locations identified with this bid (see attached map) are current as of January 19, 2022. However, due to the large amount of debris generated by this storm event, City staff have only been able to inspect a portion of the impacted areas and document damages within right-of-way. The City has contracted debris removal services under an emergency purchase authorization and after approximately one month of debris removal activity, there are still areas where the rights-of-way remain obscured. It is expected additional repairs will be needed once all right-of-ways are cleared, therefore, the successful bidder will remain available to perform other repair activities at the provided unit prices. This bid will include removal and repair of damaged sections of sidewalk, pavement, curb and gutter, and fencing as identified in the bid documents. As noted in the special instructions, the City of Bowling Green typical sections for sidewalk and curb and gutter construction shall be utilized.
