Safe Water Action Program General Contractor

The Work is to provide General Contractor Services related to design/preconstruction support and construction services for the Safe Water Action Program (SWAP). Contractor services for this program may include design and preconstruction support as well as construction services that may include: cost estimation, risk assessment, constructability review, investigation (potholing) of water service line material, and construction of water service line replacements. The following is a list of the types of services to be performed which may encompass replacement, rehabilitation, repair, improvement, and new construction. While it identifies several services that are anticipated to be required, it may not be all inclusive of the types of services to be performed. 1. Potholing and water service line investigation at the Utilities water main and curb stop 2. Replacement of water service lines and appurtenances such as but not limited to water taps, tap plugs, corporation stops, curb stops, water meters, water meter boxes and assemblies 3. Replacement of waterlines, valves, and other appurtenances. 4. General site work including clearing and grubbing, excavation of backfill, earth moving, compaction and soil disposal. 5. Site restoration including asphalt and concrete paving and patching, curb and gutter removal and replacement, general flatwork replacement and landscape repair. Design/Pre-Construction services may include the following: a) Construction phasing and schedule preparation b) Construction cost estimation c) Applicable construction permits d) Traffic Control coordination Construction services may include the following: a) Site supervision b) Utility potholing c) Stormwater management/management plan d) Site safety, protection and security e) Traffic control and/or coordination with City of Fort Collins Traffic Control f) Pavement demolition g) Concrete patching and paving h) Concrete flatwork i) Asphalt patching and paving j) Earthwork, clearing and grubbing, earth moving, backfill, compaction, disposal k) Landscape repair l) Pipeline installation for water distribution services including replacement of water service lines and appurtenances such as, but not limited to, water taps, tap plugs, corporation stops, curb stops, water meters, water meter boxes and assemblies m) Pipeline installation for water mains including replacement of pipe, valves, hydrants, and appurtenances. n) Use of trenchless technologies o) Warranty and management of project quality control p) Other related services as mutually agreed by the parties.

Division 31 -	Earthwork, Grading, Earthwork Methods.
Division 32 -	Exterior Improvements, Bases, Ballasts, and Paving, Flexible Paving, Asphalt Paving, Rigid Paving, Concrete Paving, Curbs, Gutters, Sidewalks, and Driveways, Paving Specialties, Pavement Markings.
Division 33 -	Utilities, Instrumentation and Control for Utilities, Water Utilities, Water Utility Distribution Piping, Water Utility Distribution Equipment, Disinfecting of Water Utility Distribution, Water Utility Storage Tanks, Storm Drainage Utilities, Storm Drainage Structures.
