Friant Kern Canal Pipeline (FKCP) Inlet Valve Replacement

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Fresno, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project. As of 10/29/2020 all bids are rejected. Furnish horizontal in-line 36-inch plunger valve assembly, complete with electric modulating type actuator for flow control and isolation, factory tested, and operable, as shown on Drawings, and as specified herein. This new 36-inch plunger valve assembly will replace an existing 18-inch v-port knife gate valve that is insufficient in its capacity to deliver 38 million gallons per day (MGD) to the Northeast Surface Water Treatment Facility (NESWTF). Liquidated Damages - $ 75 per calendar days All proposals must be made on the Bid Proposal Form provided by the Purchasing Manager. A Bid Deposit, which can be provided separately, in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) in the form of a certified cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit, or a certificate of deposit or a bidder's bond executed by a corporate surety, admitted by the California Insurance Commissioner to do business in California, payable and acceptable to the City of Fresno; or the Bidder shall have registered with the Purchasing Manager of the City an annual bid bond sufficient to provide coverage in such amount. Bid Deposits will be refunded after a Contract has been executed with the successful Bidder or all bids have been rejected. Copies of Bid Deposits may be submitted electronically, with the exception of a cashier's check, which must be brought to the Purchasing Manager's office and labeled accordingly with bid number. The City of Fresno hereby notifies all Bidders that no person shall be excluded from participation in, denied any benefits of, or otherwise discriminated against in connection with the award and performance of any contract on the basis of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, marital status, sex, age, sexual orientation, or on any other basis prohibited by law.
