Description This project replaces the existing heating system at the Visitor Center. This includes four propane fired 100 MBH furnaces, modifications of associated duct work and venting, and new programmable thermostats with sensors. Approximately 30 feet of 3/4" propane line will be replaced with 1" from the meter to the heating units. The new furnaces shall be of the highest efficiency practicable, ideally 90% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) or better. An air conditioning coil unit shall be included along with the installation of appropriately sized airf condenses units for the building, minimum of 18 SEER. All ducts remaining in the heating system outside the furnace room shall be professionally cleaned and sanitized by the contractor. The existing system has reached the end of its life-cycle and are in need of replacement. All equipment should be installed to allow easy access to serviceable parts and filters.
