Description

The Contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to complete athletic field updates. The work will include drainage, irrigation and grading of fields. A. Start-up of Contract: Prior to contract start-up, the Contractor must meet with the appropriate County staff to discuss responsibilities, schedule, and other parameters of the contract to avoid interference with normal operations. : The Contractor shall have extensive experience in athletic field irrigation and understand the sensitive nature of athletic field turf and athletic field drainage with a minimum of five (5) years of experience. Provide experience that meets this requirement on Attachment A - Vendor Data Sheet or attach additional information to show experience. Work can begin as early as May 1, 2023. All work must be completed by August 15, 2023. Start-up of Contract: Prior to contract start-up, the Contractor must meet with the appropriate County staff to discuss responsibilities, schedule, and other parameters of the contract to avoid interference with normal operations. B. Contractor Qualifications: The Contractor shall have extensive experience in athletic field irrigation and understand the sensitive nature of athletic field turf and athletic field drainage with a minimum of five (5) years of experience. Provide experience that meets this requirement on Attachment A - Vendor Data Sheet or attach additional information to show experience. C. Codes and Compliances: The Contractor shall obtain, possess, maintain, and comply with all applicable local, state, federal, OSHA, and health and safety requirements such as: licenses, permits, codes, laws, regulations, standards, and specifications for providing the goods and or services as identified within this solicitation. The Contractor shall complete the following work at Courthouse Park, 7232 Courtland Farm Road, Hanover, VA - Multipurpose Fields #2 and #3: A. Install approximately 650' of 6" multi-flow in four (4) lines connecting to existing multi-flow lines on site. B. Development of drainage basin complete with deeper fall area and rip rap retention. C. Regrading of back third of field #3 to level out playable area adjusting irrigation heads as needed to maintain level surface. D. Sprigging Bermuda grass in back third of field #3 adding all necessary turf amendments to ensure promotion of turf. 1.4 The Contractor shall complete the following work at Poor Farm Park, 13400 Liberty School Road, Ashland, VA - Multipurpose Fields #1, #2, #3 and #4: A. Install approximately 450' of 6" multi-flow in six (6) lines connecting to existing multi-flow lines on site on fields #1 and #2. B. Deepen swale by 12" in center 36" wide and approximately 400' long in between fields #3 and #4 to drain towards detention pond. Reseed with erosion control related seed and straw to stabilize area. C. Add irrigation for fields #3 and #4 utilizing current infrastructure (for fields #1 and #2) and return turf to playable standard. Refer to Attachment E - Irrigation Drawings for Poor Farm Park. The system must be Toro 640 series to integrate with current system. D. Sprigging Bermuda grass on field #4 after irrigation work.
