Description | Lawn areas shall be cut weekly or when grass reaches a maximum height of three (3) inches. Mowing to be performed only when grass is dry or specifically allowed by the Director of Public Works. The first mowing during the spring, the grass shall be cut to a height of one and one to two (1 to 2) inches. After the first mowing the grass shall be cut to a height not less than two (2) inches. During periods of prolonged dryness, grass shall not be cut shorter than two and one half (2 ) inches. Edging of walkway, if applicable areas of planting beds shall be done after the first spring lawn mowing and once a month thereafter. Weeding of plant bed area and berms pruning of shrubs and trees shall be done as needed. After mowing edging or pruning all grass shrubs clippings and debris shall be removed from premises and all walkways are to be left in a clean condition. Arrangements are to be made by the contractor to dispose of these grass/shrubs/clippings, limited to materials from these Township sites with the Director of Public Works. The contractor shall be permitted during term of the contract and at no cost to dispose of the vegetative debris at a site designated by the Parks, Buildings & Grounds Foreman. grass shall not be cut shorter than two and one half (2 and one half) inches. |
