Bidding Documents may be examined free of charge at the following addresses: Engineer: Chris Belk, P.E., Freese and Nichols, Inc., 1017 Main Campus Dr., Suite 1200, Raleigh NC 27606. 919.582.5862, chris.belk@freese.com This Project generally consists of furnishing and installing approximately 7,400 LF of 16-inch PVC/DIP watermain along Pennsylvania Avenue and Serpentine Drive with Associated Valves, Hydrants, Services, Tie-Ins, and Other Appurtenances. However, to view documents shared during the conference you MUST be invited to attend via your email address. All questions related to this project must be received by the Engineer in writing no later than 5:00 PM, April 20, 2022. Questions received after this time may not be answered. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond with their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the Project with the Owner. The security must be payable to Owner in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid submitted. Contractor must execute the Contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds are required. The Owner reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the Bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating bid prices, to reject any or all Bids, and/or waive formalities. Incomplete or qualified bids will not be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after scheduled bid opening.
