North Capitol Building - Bid Package #2 - Building Demolition and Shoring

This Bid Package #1 is for the following scopes of work on the New North Capitol Building Project. - Building Demolition - Demolish the existing North Capitol Office Building Structure and the Utah State Data Center. - Shoring - Shoring work to facilitate the construction of the new building and underground parking structure. - Temporary Utilities - Rerouting and/or Cut and Cap of existing Utilities to facilitate demolition, and shoring - Security and Low Voltage - Rerouting and relocating various access control and security cameras on the Capitol Campus to facilitate future construction. Overall Project Description: o New construction of an approximately 183,000 SF Granite Clad Office and Museum Building. o Building- 4 Story above grade, with a basement below grade. Granite Stone facade on the exterior matching the architecture of the existing main Capitol Building. Concrete structure with post tensions concrete floor slabs and base isolated foundations. Steel stairs, miscellaneous metals, and decorative metal stairway railings. Custom window system to match existing Capitol building Extensive cubic stonework on building facade. Basement will house the historic archives of the State of Utah Building envelope will be rain screen type system with exterior insulation between sheathing and stone facade. Mechanical/ Plumbing and Electrical Systems. o Site- Two story Underground Parking Structure with Plaza above, extensive retaining walls, stonework and plaza paver work. Asphalt paving, concrete paving, curb and gutters, sidewalks, granite pavers, sprinkler irrigation system and landscaping. Stone facade on site walls. Ornamental Railings. Utility work.
