Description

Renovation of the existing 1920’s courtroom space with adjacent offices, lobbies, meeting rooms, corridors, and restrooms. Original construction was covered by additional work performed in the 1960’s and 1970’s enclosing or removing much of the original glamour and detail. Flooring material to be demolished to original pine floors and ceilings to be repaired to original plaster. New lighting fixtures to match 1920’s style, with HVAC modifications to heat and cool all spaces within the 6,000 square feet of construction area. Five restrooms to have existing tile removed and replaced, along with new fixtures. New woodworking elements including Jury Box, Court Reporter’s Desk, Witness Stand, and trim throughout. Existing courtroom pews and chairs to be refurbished as required per Construction Documents. Fire suppression system reworking with new ceiling layout and fixtures
