Description | Village of Lynchburg solicits bids for pavement resurfacing on the following public streets: Linn Drive- Approximately 679x 21.5 Lee Drive- Approximately 827x 21 Washington Street- (Section from Eastern to Sycamore) Approximately 1218x 16 High Street- (Unpaved Section between Broadway to Main) Approximately 155x 12 Glenavy Drive- (Patching around flower bed) Approximately 20x10 Covered Bridge- (Paving both entry sides from bridge to road both Clinton County and Highland County Side) 300x20 **Note that streets may vary in length and width. These are estimated** The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All loose material will be cleaned from the existing surface. Also all shoulders should not be higher than the existing pavement prior to paving. The Tack Coat shall be applied in accordance ODOT Spec 4D7 at a rate of JOGal/SY. In no case shall any asphalt course be placed when the air temperature is below 50 degrees F. The contractor shall place #404 surface asphalt. The surface overlay depth must be a minimum of two (2) inches of blacktop with one and one half (1 %) inches compacted on all above streets. Any irregularities or objectionable dips shall be filled during the leveling course. Grinding intersections to butt up with existing intersections to make a seamless transition. Asphalt applications will be compacted using equipment and methods in accordance with ODOT Sec. 401.16.The Contractor will be responsible for supplying, erecting, and maintaining construction warning signs as required by ODOT Spec 614.05 |
