045--Chilled Water Line Repair

The contractor shall investigate existing conditions to determine the leak(s), the source of the leak(s), provide a plan for repair to include materials and “best course of action” of the repair with FMS assistance. Work shall include but not limited to infection control measures, demolition of insulation, valve/pipe replacement, re-insulation, reconditioning of the space, ceiling tile replacement and cleaning, and assistance in bleeding of the system of air. The contractor shall provide an estimate for the work described above. It is believed that the space is free of ACM materials but as a precaution, the contractor shall provide a separate line item within the estimate for asbestos services to remove up to 15 linear feet of Thermal Steam Insulation (TSI). The contractor shall be responsible for providing a VPIH service for the VA (air monitoring, abatement project monitoring) if need be and should also be a separate line item on the estimate.
