Description | The work involves upgrades and additions to the Hopewell wastewater treatment facility including influent pump station, packaged extended aeration wastewater treatment plant process, solids holding tanks/aerobic digesters, ultraviolet disinfection system and post aeration facilities, chemical feed and storage systems, electrical room addition, earthwork, mechanical piping and equipment, yard piping, instrumentation control and monitoring system, HVAC work, plumbing work, electrical work, building architectural work, structural steel and reinforced concrete construction, site improvements and all required appurtenances. The Contractor is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act of 1978, P.L. 6, as amended as well as American Iron and Steel Requirements as amended, Build America, Buy America Requirements and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The Act and amendments require that the Contractor use or furnish only steel products {as defined in the Act and amendments) which have been produced in the United States. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Bedford County Board of Commissioners, or negotiable U.S. Government bonds {at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety named in the current list of acceptable sureties published in U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570 {amended), in the amount equal to ten percent {10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid CDBG-21C-82953 MBEGoal: 5.0% WBE Goal: 3.0% The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish Performance and Payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent ( 100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. l questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda, mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. |
