Description | The Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) intends to hire a Design/Build Team comprised of a Solar Contractor supported by architect, engineers, technical consultants and subcontractors as required to design and construct Solar Canopy System. This design/build project will include design and construction of a solar parking canopy system on WSU's Public Pay Lot (PPL). WSU has established this project to install solar canopies over the Public Pay Lot (PPL) located on the main campus at 3885 West Campus Drive, Ogden, Utah. This project is design/build and the selected contractor is required to provide all design, engineering and construction services for the parking canopy, solar energy, electrical distribution, and all other related systems, including site, architectural, structural, electrical and solar components. The selected contractor will also be required to submit design documents to DFCM's Building Official to obtain a permit. (There is no cost to the contractor for plan review, permits, and inspections.) The project is expected to be complete by fall semester 2024. See supporting documentation for details. Information found in this RFP and supporting documentation represents minimum requirements for the project and WSU encourages submitting teams to bring ingenuity and ideas of how to enhance the design and operation of the solar canopies to the project through their responses to this RFP. For questions regarding this project, please contact Jeff Wrigley, DFCM Project Manager at email jeffwrigley@utah.gov or phone 801-793-8745. No others are to be contacted regarding this project. The Design/Build Team for this work will be selected by a Value Based Selection RFP method. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the Division of Facilities Construction and Management on the AIA Document A310 - 2010 Bid Bond, or equivalent, shall accompany the cost proposal emailed to dfcm_vbs@utah.gov during Stage II. The Division of Facilities Construction and Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State. The Stage I proposal documents that are requested in the RFP must be submitted by 12:00 NOON on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 to DFCM via email to dfcm_vbs@utah.gov.
