Description

Schnabel Reference 22140031.006 On Federally assisted projects, the bidder's attention is called to the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications (Executive Order 11246) which is a part of the contract proposal. All of these activities shall be done in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. County: Carroll Classification: D Funding: Federal F.A.P. Number: AC-STBG-0003(800)E This project, located in Carroll County, is for drainage, sidewalk, and resurfacing improvements on MD 851 (Springfield Ave). Beginning at the Intersection of MD 851 and Main Street/Spout Hill Rd and extending in a Northerly direction to MD 851 for a total distance 0.48 miles, between the intersections of MD 851 and Cooper Drive and Warfield Road. The work will consist of the following: (a) Patching, fine milling, and resurfacing the existing pavement. (b) Reconstructing pedestrian ramps and driveways to meet ADA standards. (c) Replacing existing stormdrain and installing new storm drain, including cast-in-place, non-standard design for MH-7. (d) Installing concrete collars around proposed inlets. (e) Tree branch pruning and tree root pruning. (f) Installing pavement markings, signs and supports. (g) Maintenance of Traffic. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. CONTRACT TIME. The Contractor is hereby advised that liquidated damages in the amount of 1340 dollars per calendar day
