2023 Asphalt Overlay Program

Principal Items of Work: Alternate 1: Approximately 8.3 miles of Bituminous Hot Mix Asphalt at eleven (11) locations in Riley County applied using the Construction Method listed below. Alternate 2: Approximately 6.4 miles of Bituminous Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay applied over eight (8) various locations throughout Riley County using the Construction Method listed below. Construction Method: Delivery and application of Bituminous Hot Mix Asphalt. No Bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of 30 days following the opening of Bids. The Riley County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities in considering Bids and to accept the Bid which, in the Board's opinion, is in the best interest of Riley County. Nonresident contractors who are individuals or partnerships and nonresident corporations not already registered with the Secretary of Revenue are required to register with the Secretary of Revenue and to file a bond to assure payment of taxes, if the total contract price or compensation to be received amounts to more than $10,000 (K.S.A. 2019 Supp. 79-1009, K.S.A. 2019 Supp. 79-1010).
