Description | For Micro Bioretention Installation The Town of Glen Echo, a municipality in the state of Maryland, is requesting proposals from qualified firms for installation of two micro-bioretention facilities (Town Hall and Trolley sites) to provide for the stormwater management and reduce flooding. The facilities will require overflow tie into the existing storm drain system, subject to Town review, and all applicable Permits. These proposals will support the Town's application to the Chesapeake Bay Trust for the funding Track 3: Implementation/Construction of Green Streets/Green Infrastructure Projects (see the specifices). The Town received funding for a Green Street Conceptual Plan in 2021 and funding for engineering design plans in 2022. The installation scope of work includes following the attached engineering design plans including installation of selected native plants. Additional considerations: Permits will be obtained by the Town of Glen Echo, Construction stakeout and as-built surveys will be required, Maintenance of traffic should be considered Any inquiries concerning the Request for Proposals should be addressed to Elizabeth Stickler, Town Manager. Should any amendment to the Proposal Request Documents be necessary, copies of any amendments will be forwarded to all firms who have received bid package. The Town may distribute copies of this Request for Proposals to firms who have requested copies and to other firms. Distribution to such firms does not imply pre-qualification of such firms. Glen Echo reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted. Proposal shall include a technical proposal and a price proposal. The Town reserves the right to retain all bids submitted and to use any ideas in a bid regardless of whether that bid is selected. The Town of Glen Echo may recover liquidated damages by deducting the amount thereof from any moneys due or that may become due to the Contractor, including current monthly estimated payments. In the event that the Contractor fails to complete the specified work within the specified number of days after Notice to Proceed, with the exception of extensions granted by change order, liquidated damages in the amount $100 for each calendar day the completion of the specified work is delayed. |
