Roof Replacement Program

A. Cleanup 1. During construction, remove debris as it is generated. Avoid accumulating debris. On completion, all excess building material shall be removed from the site. Rake the site clean of construction debris. 2. After roof replacement clean out rain gutters and down spouts. A. Roofing 1. Remove roof coverings down to the sheathing. 2. Replace rotten, warped or damaged sheathing, rafters, soffit or fascia to match existing. Replace missing or damaged soffit vents. Sheathing shall match existing on exposed eaves. 3. Install 6” aluminum drip edge over 1 x 2 strips around the entire perimeter of the house (1X2 standoff strips not needed where aluminum fascia is in place). Replace rusted or damaged vent and valley flashings with new. Use lead boots and cover with hardware cloth cages to protect from chewing damage. 4. Apply 30-year fiberglass class A architectural Energy Star shingles over required moisture barrier which may be felt or other manufactured product over gable area. The homeowner shall select the color. Install according to manufacturer and Florida Building Code specifications. 5. Install Cobra ridge roll vent system according to manufacturer specifications. 6. Prime and paint bare wood soffit and fascia to blend with existing colors. All new bidders must submit a Housing New Contractor application.
