Construction of Franny Reese Park Improvements

Construction of Franny Reese Park improvements at 2694-2696 Route 9D (West Main Street) including: fill and grading, mechanically stabilized retaining walls around the fill area, pavement and hardscape improvements, fencing, site lighting and landscape restoration. Major components of said work are approximately: 1. Sawcut pavement and pavement/curbing/sidewalk removal along parcel frontage on NYS Route 9D. 2. Reconstruction of existing concrete curb and concrete sidewalks along parcel frontage on NYS Route 9D. 3. Pavement reconstruction to NYSDOT standards at entrance to new parking lot. 4. Work zone traffic control for work new driveway and sidewalk work along the east side of Route 9D. 5. Import of fill and grading for the construction of the upper overlook of the proposed Franny Reese Park. 6. Installation of new internal asphalt paved parking area, concrete sidewalks and hardscaped areas, and grassed areas, including concrete curbing, pedestrian ramps, pavement striping, and appurtenances. 7. Installation of mechanically stabilized retaining walls around the fill area. 8. Installation of fencing and site lighting, along with the low voltage power distribution system. 9. Construction of concrete steps and an asphalt walking path to a lower overlook area. 10. Installation of segmented retaining walls, steps, and concrete pavers for a lower overlook area.
