Excavating and Installation of new water meter pits

Excavating and Installation of new water meter pits at various locations throughout New Milford Borough, PA 18834 Project to include installation of approximately ten 5' HDPE(high density polyethylene) meter pits, associated compression fittings, couplings and meter idlers to replace existing meter pits that do not meet code. Sites are located throughout New Milford Borough. New water meters will be provided by New Milford Municipal Authority. Water meter pits are to be purchased from the Borough. Bid security in the form of a certified or cashiers check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid will be required to accompany all bids. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond within ten(10) days after Notice of Award. Attention of bidders is called to the Federal Requirements in the Contract Documents including but not limited to Equal Employment Opportunity, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. Bidders must submit with their bids the non-collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents. Bid Envelopes to be plainly marked with the name of the project and mailed or delivered to the Susquehanna County Housing/Redevelopment Authority, address listed above. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
