Description | For the installation of Floating Docks and Ramps to be added to an existing town owned facility located at Ferry Road in Old Saybrook. Proposals shall include the complete installation and unloading of the floating docks and aluminium ramps. The base scope of this RFP is as follows: Unloading and installation of (2) 20 foot long 10-foot-wide floating dock with 18 inch free board. The docks will be hinged so they will be forming a 40 foot long 10 foot wide floating dock went connected. The installation configuration is shown in Exhibit A. Unloading and installation of (2) 25 foot long 10-foot-wide floating dock with 18 inch free board. The docks will be hinged so they will be forming a 50 foot long 10 foot wide floating dock went connected. The installation configuration is shown in Exhibit A. Unloading and installation of the aluminum gangway for each dock. Contractor to provide any necessary timber blocking, fasteners required for attachment of the gangway hinge plate to the fixed timber dock. Supply and Installation of Class B 12” Diameter 40-foot Piles (it is anticipated 15 piles will be required which will be installed in the configuration shown in Exhibit A.) Piles shall be driven to a depth that matches the top of the piles on the existing fixed dock. Two batter piles will be driven at the end of each dock to create the float restraint dolphins. Extraction and redriving of (1) existing pile (it is anticipated 2 piles will be removed and re-driven as shown in Exhibit A). The OSHMC may elect to have the existing piles extracted and disposed of. |
