Description | Notice is hereby given by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Maywood, Cook County, Illinois, that sealed bid proposals will be received for the following improvement: 2022 SIDEWALK PROGRAM This project includes replacement of approximately 3,500 square feet of concrete sidewalk at various locations throughout the village, as well as a nominal amount of replacement of concrete curb and gutter and concrete driveway apron.The Engineer has been authorized to refuse to issue plans, specifications, and proposals to any person, firm, or corporation that he considers to be unqualified. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in an amount which shall not be less than Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal. All bidders wishing to obtain bidding documents must be approved by the Village prior to obtaining bidding documents. All bidders must provide proof that they are prequalified with the Illinois Department of Transportation to perform at least 50% of the value of the work before being issued bidding documents. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the Proposals without the consent of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Maywood for a period forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of bid opening. The Contractor and Subcontractor shall comply with all regulations issued pursuant to Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), and other applicable Federal Laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards. The successful bidder for the work will be required to furnish sufficient insurance to the Village of Maywood and the Engineer against all damage claims that might arise due to the negligence of the Contractor, and will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the contract. The Village is using local funding for the completion of the project. The Village of Maywood reserves the right in receiving these bids to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids. |
