| Description | 1. All surfaces to be painted shall be cleaned of any foreign materials which will adversely affect adhesion or appearance of applied coating. 2. Wood surfaces shall be sanded smooth and cleaned thoroughly before proceeding with application of first coat. 3. Metal surfaces shall be washed with mineral spirits to remove dirt or grease and shall be wire-brushed, scraped or sanded clean to remove rust or scale. 4. Surfaces damaged by scratches or other abrasions shall be carefully sanded smooth and cleaned in preparation for painting. | ||
