Description

The City of Des Moines is pleased to provide accommodations to individuals with disabilities or groups and encourages participation in City government. To better serve you, please notify us at least three business days in advance when possible at 515-283-4209, should special accommodations be required. Work on each improvement shall be commenced upon approval of the contract by the Council, and completed as stated below. Bid Security. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes. The improvement includes street construction with a 27 feet wide back-to-back Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) roadway 7-inches thick, modified subbase, subdrain, subgrade treatment, grading, pavement removal, PCC driveways, PCC sidewalk, storm sewer, intakes, storm manholes, traffic control, surface restoration, and other incidental items; all in accordance with the contract documents, including Plan File No. 642-176/289, located at Watrous Avenue from SW 56th Street to SW 61st Street, Des Moines, Iowa. This project shall be fully completed not later than September 9, 2023, and in accordance with the Completion Provisions.
