RFQ- On-Call Land Development Plan Review Services

The City of Orinda is situated in the Oakland/Berkeley hills immediately east of the Caldecott Tunnel on Highway 24 in Contra Costa County. The City's Public Works and Engineering Services Department maintains approximately 92 miles of public right-of-way as well as five two-lane bridges in a semi-rural community with 31 miles of creeks. The City of Orinda plans to select an on-call civil engineering firm to provide Land Development Plan Review services through June 30, 2025 with the ability for the City Manager to extend the contract for two additional one year terms. The time and materials contract limit is $200,000 with the ability to amend the limit on an as needed basis. Work will include, but is not limited to the following: Plan Check Review, including review for application completeness, Tentative and Final Parcel Maps, Soils Reports, Drainage Reports, C.3 Stormwater Treatment Reports as applicable for SB 9 Lot Split, SB 9 Units, and Land Development projects; Design Review; Exception Permits; Subdivisions; Lot Line Adjustment/Mergers; Development/Compliance Peer Review; Map Checking Reviews; Storm Water Control Plan and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan checking; Correspondence with Applicants to resolve comments; Attend meetings with the City as needed; Management of Plan Review Budgets (Deposit Based, Flat Fee, etc.); For additional information, contact Ryan O'Kane, Senior Engineer, at rokane@cityoforinda.org or (925) 253-4282.
