Description

Notice to Bidders Marengo-Union Library District will receive bids for a Window Project Work consisting of removal of nine existing windows, installation of new non-opening windows (with 1 inch Low-E glass) and all necessary trim, disposal of old windows, aluminum fillers around the exterior perimeter, caulking, staining, and varnishing of the interior wood. Any requests for information shall be submitted via email to Jay Filler, Jr. at jayfiller54@gmail.com and no later than Monday, June 27th, 2023. BID BONDS: None Required. PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE: None Required. Work performed under this contract shall be in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (82 ILCS 130/1, et seq), the Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act (820 ILCS 265/1, et seq), the Drug Free Workplace Act (30 ILCS 580/1, et seq), and any applicable superseding ordinance or public law. Attention is called to the provisions for Equal Opportunity Act. All contractors who are awarded construction related contracts must document Affirmative Action to ensure Equal Opportunity in Employment. This documentation is subject to review by the Regional Office of the Department of Labor. As a part of normal contract administration, the Library District is responsible for determining the Contractors compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Clause and Affirmative Action Requirements as well as the Contractors performance in executing those requirements. The District is exempt from the Illinois State. Municipal, or county Retailers Occupational Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax, as described in the Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid Prices should not include the cost of such taxes. Each bid shall include all elements of construction to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, applicable taxes, and all other expense items to completely perform the work required. Bids will be held good and many not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of opening without the written consent of the District. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and/or reject any or all bids when, in the Districts opinion, such actions will serve the best interest of the District. The District also reserves the right to cancel the bidding process before the bid envelopes are opened
